Can I sacrafice a creature and regenerate it to keep it alive
Asked by Wwwskyler 11 years ago
My varolz the scar striped was targeted by removal and he has the option to sacrafice a creature to regenerate him could I sacrafice my exsperiment one and than remove the two counters from him to regenerate him as we'll so that they would both live the only difference it the exsperiment one has two less counters
Is there any way to make sacrifice not work on my creatures like what I'm trying to do above

No, I'm afraid not. You cannot save a sacrificed permanent with Regeneration, Indestructible, or any other ability, to the best of my knowledge.

Darn it would have been nice to be able to save with regeneration

Please link all cards in question.
Varolz, the Scar-Striped
Experiment One
Unfortunately, this doesn't work. While you will be able to regenerate Varolz by sacrificing Experiment One, Regeneration does not save a permanent from being sacrificed. Your Experiment One will die if you sacrifice him, regardless of whether you regenerate him.
