Can I kill with Pyrohemia if opposite has Rite of Passage

Could i cast Pyrohemia 's activated ability in response to putting on the +1/+1 counter each time?

Pyrohemia 'a ability is activated, not cast. But yes. Rite of Passage has a triggered ability that triggers whenever a creature Rite of Passage 's controller controls is dealt damage. That ability can be responded to.

Unless otherwise stated, an activated ability may be activated at any time its would-be controller has priority. In response to each instance of Rite of Passage 's triggered ability, you may activate Pyrohemia , giving you the chance to kill off your opponent's creatures before they get the counters.
