Can i cast what i get with temporal apeture on my opponents turn even if it can't be cast at instant speed normally?

I was playing EDH with friends and I used temporal-apeture on my friends turn and landed a a Darksteel ColossusMTG Card: Darksteel Colossus and attemped to cast it and the card stated. My friend of course doesn't think I would be allowed to because DC doesn't have flash. I'm pretty sure Temp Apet allows it right?

Temporal ApertureMTG Card: Temporal Aperture does not overrule timing restrictions. You may only cast the revealed card at a time when you would normally be able to cast it. The only difference is that you don't have to pay its mana cost.

Casting the spell would have to be part of the resolution of Temporal ApertureMTG Card: Temporal Aperture in order to bypass timing restrictions. The aperture doesn't allow this, but a card like Knowledge PoolMTG Card: Knowledge Pool does.

Notice that Temporal ApertureMTG Card: Temporal Aperture states you "may play the card as though it were in your hand". The card will basically become a card in your hand with a casting cost of 0 (until the end of the turn, or it is removed from the top). It does not give any extra privileges to playing it.
