can i cast an instant on a creature with flash

lets say i play Ambush Viper with flash after my opponent declared attackers. Ambush Viper is being used to block a stronger creature (lets say a 3/3), causing both to die due deathtouch.question: can my opponent now play a burn spell like Lightning Bolt on the viper before it actually blocks and therefore deals damage?

Yes, your opponent can Lightning Bolt before your Ambush Viper deals damage.

Whenever a spell or ability resolves, both players get priority to cast spells and activate abilities before the game continues.
