Can grandmaster trigger twice for lifelink

ok so I've been trying to make a burn deck possible
http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/soul-fire-burn/
in case anyone cares and I've had a friend (who i believe is very wrong) say that Soulfire Grand Master will gain me 8 life if i Stoke the Flames someone. I believe that because it gives life link this is not the case but I wanted confirmation that he was wrong before I go and make mistakes and miss out on huge life gain opportunities
This isn't even a case of multiple instances of lifelink.
Soulfire Grand Master has lifelink.
Instants and Sorcery spells have lifelink.
When you cast Stoke the Flames, the spell deals damage. Soulfire Grand Master doesn't. It having lifelink has zero interaction with Stoke the Flames.

WDevonin I already accepted an answer so... second off the lifeline I was talking about was the life link that soul fire gives the instants and sorceries

Just because you accepted an answer doesn't mean there's nothing to add. It has lifelink. It gives spells lifelink. There's no instance of it giving something lifelink twice.

If you're talking about having -multiple- Grand Masters out (which you didn't say) then sure, Goblins' answer is correct, because it having lifelink from two separate sources won't make a difference.
GoblinsInc says... Accepted answer #1
702.15e. Multiple instances of lifelink on the same object are redundant.
