Can God cards be targeted with kill spells before they reach the devotion limit?

My friend tried to use Ultimate Price against my God card. my devotion count was less than 5. his argument was it says creature in the text. need some info

Well, remind your friend that the text specifically says the God "isn't a creature" if you don't have enough devotion. Sometimes type-changing effects add card types (like Mutavault turning itself into a creature that's also a land), but sometimes they remove card types (like the Gods). As long as you have less than 5 devotion the God is just a Legendary Enchantment, and therefore can't be targeted by something like Ultimate Price .

Even if your god was a creature, Ultimate Price wouldn't do anything as the gods are indestructible.

If it's enchantment hate that does something other than "destroy", yes.
