Briarbridge Patrol and Deathbringer Regent

I'm pretty sure I know how this works but I just want to be certain. If I use Briarbridge Patrol's second ability and put Deathbringer Regent from my hand onto the battlefield, it WON'T trigger the Regents ability, correct?

Correct. Since you didn't cast the Deathbringer Regent it wouldn't trigger regardless of the number of creatures in play.
