borrowed time VS a commander
Asked by bulwarkdragon 2 years ago
how does this play out? i ask because the card doesn't actually remove the commander from the game, it just can't block, attack, receive or use any abilities or power ups and can't be sacrificed. does it still just go to the command zone even though it is to be returned to the battlefield when borrowed time leaves the game?

Borrowed Time does exile the permanent it targets. You can choose to move your commander to the command zone as Borrowed Time would exile it, but then you would have to re-cast it. It would not return to the battlefield automatically if Borrowed Time leaves the battlefield.
