blanchwood armor and control of creatures

Asked by pshawver 13 years ago

if i am playing a team game and my teammate casts Blanchwood Armor on a creature i control, will my creature get the bonus from the forests that my teammate controls or will it check my forest count?

my understanding is that while i control the creature, my temamate still controls the enchantment.

also if my creature is Mind Control ed by an opponent with an equipment atached, can i pay the equip cost to attach it to another of my creatures during my main phase?

again i am assuming that while he controls the creature, the equipment is still mine.

If anyone can quote the rules text, or show mw how to find it myself that would be greatly appreciated

you and your always refure to the controler of the spell, effect, or permanent

so it would count your friends lands

and for the 2nd question im asuming your asking that if someone plays mind control on a creature of yours with one of you equipment on it, can you reequip it

if an equipment you control is on a creature you do not controle for any reason (whether you gained controle of the equipment, you lost controle of the creature, or a spell or ability put it onto a creature you do not controle) you can pay the equip cost any time you could play a sorcery to equip it to a creature you do controle as long as there is a legal target

if there is no legal target the equipment is stuck there,

also it does not alow you to equip it to a different creature that player controles

109.5. The words "you" and "your" on an object refer to the object's controller, its would-be controller (if a player is attempting to play, cast, or activate it), or its owner (if it has no controller). For a static ability, this is the current controller of the object it's on. For an activated ability, this is the player who activated the ability. For a triggered ability, this is the controller of the object when the ability triggered, unless it's a delayed triggered ability. To determine the controller of a delayed triggered ability, see rules 603.7df.

Since your teammate controls the enchantment (even though it enchants your creature), the creature will get a bonus based on how many Forests your teammate controls.

Since you control the equipment, you may reattach it to one of your creatures by using the equip ability.
