Awakening & Seedborn Muse during upkeep?

Asked by Dreno33 11 years ago

When Awakening & Seedborn Muse effects both trigger during my upkeep can I tap all of my lands in response to ONE of them resolving, therefore allowing my lands to untap again when the other triggered effect resolves?

Seedborn Muse doesn't have a triggered ability. It has a static ability that causes you to untap all your permanents during each other player's untap step. It has nothing to do with upkeep and it doesn't use the stack.

Awakening has a triggered ability that triggers at the beginning of each upkeep. You can respond to this ability.

Seedborn Muse 's ability doesn't resolve. It doesn't even use the stack. It's a static ability that causes you to untap your permanents during each other player's untap step.

And as I said, Awakening has a triggered ability, so you can cast spells or activate abilities in response to it.

Yes. Awakening 's ability uses the stack. You can respond to it.

Also, note that Seedborn Muse doesn't do anything during your own untap step.
