are basic snow covered lands basic lands

am i allowed to use as many basic snow covered lands as i like in my edh deck? and can i search for them when i use Cultivate or card:Kodama's Reach

Yes. They have the card type land and the supertype basic so they are indeed basic lands.

Ruling on Snow-Covered Forest: Since this is a basic land, you may have any number of it in a Constructed deck in any format in which the Masters Edition II set, the Coldsnap set, or the Ice Age set is legal.

Also this may be useful: In Limited events, you can't add basic snow lands to your deck from outside your card pool. You may add only lands named Plains, Island, Swamp, Mountain, and Forest, as normal.

Doesn't apply to EDH but applies to Sealed decks or Drafting where you add additional basic lands to form your complete deck.

does landwalk work on snowcovered lands or does it need to be snowcover landwalk?

Landwalk would be worded as "Islandwalk", for example. Since Snow-Covered Island has the type Island, it is counted in determining if the creature is unblockable.
