Angel's Grace and negative life

So Angel's Grace specifies that any damage that would reduce my life to less than one reduces it to one instead. It also says I can't lose and my opponent can't win. If I lost life without taking damage (say, Ad Nauseam ) can I go into negative life without losing?

All in all it seems logical, just want to double-check myself before I get to involved in a potential combo. Thanks!

Yes, you can go into the negatives and not lose. However, you'd have only until the end of the turn in which you played Angel's Grace to go off and win the game, since the moment state-based actions are checked at the start of your opponent's next turn, you're going to lose for have 0 or less life.
