alesha + nighthowler

If I have a Nighthowler in the grave with other creatures as well can I bring him back out with Alesha, Who Smiles at Death's ability? And what about with Eidolon of Countless Battles if I have 3 creatures on the field?

You can return either because they are base 0/0s. Their P/T altering abilities are not characteristic-defining abilities (the kind denoted by */*), so they only function while those cards are on the battlefield.

Note, however, that they can't be returned as Auras. They will be creatures.
