Aggravated Assault + Savage Ventmaw infinite mana?

Asked by NoPantsParade 10 years ago

I know when the two are combined, you're able to get infinite combat phases. However, do you also get infinite R/G mana or am I missing something?

Thanks.

You get as many R/G mana as your opponents have life/4 since you ARE attacking them.

It's not infinite mana. Remember that mana is drained from mana pools at the end of each step and phase. The extra mana won't carry over past the declare attackers step in which it was produced.

Nevermind. I can read, gais.

just a note: A Maze of Ith added in here would let you produce infinite mana without having to worry about combat damage

Maze of Ith would need a way to untap

You should get infinite mana unless I'm mistaken since you only need to use four of the five mana that the ventmaw gives you when it attacks to get another combat phase and untap all your creatures. Thus you can attack any number of times(usually resulting in the death of all your opponents), but yes you should get infinite mana since you net one red or green each time. So if you alternate and use everything but one red mana one time you active the aggravated assault's ability and leave green the next time and repeat that process, you'll have infinite red and green mana.

That was established in the first answer.

You don't get infinite mana. You get an amount of mana equal to the number of times you attack, that number being limited by when your opponents die.
