Academy Rector get enchanted creature?

Can Academy Rector's effect get an enchant creature card such as "Serra's Embrace" to be played onto a creature that i have already in play?

Yes. Since Academy Rector doesn't specify that you have to get a specific type of enchantment (such as Aura), you can search for any card that has Enchantment in it's Type line. If it's an enchantment that requires a target, it still has to have a legal target.

Another thing to note is that because it only specifies "enchantment card" you can put gods, god weapons and bestow creatures on the battlefield from the effect. I don't think you would be able to use bestow creatures as auras though since it wasn't "cast for its bestow cost".
