Blockchain TCG

Hi guys,
If anyone is open to try a new TCG I can recommend Gods Unchained. It shares some strategy with Hearthstone and is quite easy to pick up. The main difference is that it is block-chain based meaning cards are linked to a personal crypto wallet and 100% freely tradeable/sellable/etc for any price and to whomever you like.
The game is currently in beta but is already hosting tournaments every weekend where it’s quite easy to win rare card packs (especially if you’re an experienced HS player). For every game you win in the beta you also receive tickets for a future lottery - these can be sold or of course provide a chance to win something.
Feel free to use my beta invite link https://godsunchained.com/?beta-key=vHpidZlRIb and pm me any questions you may have :)
I think it is worth disclosing the fact that this game seems to be running a promotion where you get raffle tickets for winning a game or referring other players to start playing.
So, based on the current promotion rewarding you for bringing new players into the game and the fact you made this account shortly before making this post, it is fairly clear you’re here for an ulterior motive.
That’s not cool.

Spam? I wouldn't call it that (spam = irrelevant or unsolicited messages sent over the Internet, typically to a large number of users, for the purposes of advertising, phishing, spreading malware, etc.). This is relevant information directed at specific people.
Ulterior motive? Perhaps - but no matter what as a MTG player I can REALLY recommend this game!
I think this is the future of TCG. Blockchain brings ownership back to the players and creates a community driven economy. Something seen (and loved) with physical TCG's (but here security is lacking in the modern world, i.e. it's easy to buy fake MTG cards from China). Blockchain solves this, and moves the products to a virtual and much more flexible world. Something that on the contrary IS cool.

I expect it will be just as much the future of TCGs as Crypto was the future of cash - that is to say, not at all. Just as no one (besides investors and people using funds for illicit purposes) really cared about “bringing ownership to the payers,” I expect no one really overly cares about bringing ownership to the players.
Take that away and you have another Hearthstone clone that shamelessly tries to encourage players to pay and buy cards in an attempt to win a lottery for “one-of-a-kind cards.”
The dearth of post-Beta reviews for the game, and the fact the media attention has almost exclusively been on Crypto sites, strongly indicates this game is not being taken seriously in gaming circles. That’s an early warning sign of a lacklustre launch - though it shouldn’t be surprising to anyone familiar with virtual TCGs. The simple fact of the matter is Hearthstone dominates this market, and most other virtual TCGs fail to make a significant dent in Hearthstone’s hegemony. Players and streamers are, after all, familiar and comfortable with Hearthstone’s system, and the game has years of updates and development giving it credibility. There’s a reason the only game to take a significant chunk out of Hearthstone’s player/streamer base has been Magic’s Arena - Magic has better gameplay and decades of history. This game seems to offer little that’s new, and is backed by nothing more than the increasingly-less-magical buzzwords of “cryptocurrency” and “blockchain.”
Frankly, the entire system seems a fairly desperate ploy by Ethereum to diversify the use of its technology seeing as Crypto is fairly definitively not the currency of the future.

That's another way to view it - I find that BitCoin (ranking higher than many parts of the stock market regarding growth and earnings for those who invested early) may not be the WHOLE future, but will undoubtedly be part of it (and the other cryptocurrencies as well).
Say if China and USA's trade war escalates out of control - how will private individuals continue the trade with each other? Well crypto could be an obvious tool.
I don't think we will come to an agreement on this subject so I will keep my remaining arguments for myself.
Would like to hear your thoughts on the ex-MTG director joining the game developers of Gods Unchained though. This is something I find valuable game wise, but I could off course be mistaken.
You can either google it or read about it here: https://venturebeat.com/2019/08/08/gods-unchained-blockchain-card-game-adds-magics-chris-clay-to-its-deck/

Mr. Clay is a tech guy who oversaw the creation of Arena - as far as I can tell, he was not part of the R&D team that is the core of what makes Magic great.
Now that Arena is reaching a post-development stage, it makes sense for the person who was in charge of development to make a lateral move - that’s pretty standard for the video game industry. I wouldn’t read very much of it - they hired a TCG tech guy to do TCG tech stuff. He doesn’t bring with him any of Magic’s well-deserved gameplay street cred.

This seems a bit spammy. Just making an account on an mtg forum to advertise for a different tcg and not having any other activity at all.
