Who would make a better planeswalker?

Bowser or Ganondorf?
Let me explain a bit. I am trying to make a set revolved around the Nintendo world. I have made a Planeswalker of Mario and Link, but feel that there needs to be another planeswalker for evil. My question though, is who would be better? I am biased and would choose Ganondorf, cause I'm a major Zelda fan. However, I want to see what the community thinks, if there are any huge Nintendo fans here besides me :D

Haha yeah. I think he'd be best as either Orzhov or Dimir. I know if anything Bowser would be Rakdos, since he is evil and breathes fire :P

Ganon by far man hes a total baddass, ganon has to have black in him of course, but wouldn't his red/ginger hair be suited to red too?hmmmm choices! maybe white black red? lol the white is a good representation of the white lightning balls he makes you play tennis with too! arguably bowser could be green, red or green, red, black as you say he is evil and he green and red and breathes fire, if they were both 3 colour they could be pretty epic then too and powerful!

Orzhov would suit ganon nicely as orzhov uses magic as dimir is about science

@maiden77: Indeed. Ganondorf is by far my most favorite villian ever. I would make him B/W/R and he would have some sweet ass abilities.
@Azure124: True that.
@biggredd54: Haha I will have both, just not as planeswalkers :3

Ummmmmmmm... Why not Gary oak or Giovanni? The pokemon world is as vital to the spirit of nintendo as any other video game. Plus, you could make a whole set just about that if you wanted!

I'm fairly certain there's already a Pokemon TCG... don't need to have M:TG be given any comparison to that.

I don't see Mario (and probably not Link) as being "Planeswalker" level. Legendary creature, yes... PW, no.
Ganon, I can see as a PW. He always has epic tales foretelling his return, and how he will destroy the world, etc.
Bowser would be a Legendary at best... and he'd have to have 'entertaining' abilities, that have a good chance at back-firing... If you make him a PW, you'll have to make him worse than Tibalt.
Don't forget to create a Chocobo card... not sure if this should be a Legendary creature, a rapidly created token, or an Aura that gives crazy haste/evasion abilities.

Quick list of games you should consider including:
- Donkey Kong
- Kirby
- Double Dragon
- Adventure Island
- Metroid
- Castlevania
- Bomberman
- Punch Out (though maybe no sports related games)
- Of course, the ones already mentioned... Mario, Zelda, Final Fantasy

Hmmm, well even though though FFVII wasn't a Nintendo Game, Sephiroth would make the best evil Planeswalker IMO. Also, anyone who says Link is not Planeswalker material is bonkers. He is reincarnated across multiple generations and planes throughout the Zelda series. How does that not make him a Planeswalker? He is by far one of the top 5 characters in video game history. Ganon isn't even close to being on his level.

Bowser just isnt pw lvl legendary creature at best Mario might not even be legendary creature worthy. Link and ganon have profices making them ascend higher than the others

Although Link was heroic, it was generally not 'him' that was powerful. It was almost always the tools, and the guidance of ancient texts that made him strong. The 'Master Sword', the 'Boomerang', the 'Hookshot', various masks, the whistle, various tunics... etc... strip away his Artifacts, and you have a courageous kid with pointy ears... getting his butt kicked.
At best, he should be a Legendary creature that gets huge bonuses for each equipment he has equipped, and there should be equipment that specifically gives him additional bonuses.
Something like - Master Sword (2) - Legendary Artifact - Equipment - "Equipped creature get +2/+4. If equipped creature is named Link, it also gets; 'Tap: This creature deal an amount of damage equal to it's power to target creature or player'" - Equip: (2).
Or like - Wooden Boomerang (1) - Legendary Artifact - Equipment - "Equipped creature gets 'Tap: This creature deals 1 damage to each of up to 3 target creatures'. If equipped creature is named Link, it also gets 'Tap: This creature deals 2 damage to each of up to 3 target creatures or players. Detain any number of those creatures.'" Equip: (2)
I don't know.... Link being a Planeswalker... just ruins the concept of his story line(s). He's an ordinary teenager, that gets thrown into an epic quest due to some prophecy. He has no real powers, except that he is 'chosen'. He doesn't even have any spells, except in Zelda 2: The adventure of Link, and even then, he had to be taught those spells. I would think that having a natural ability to cast spells would be one of the requirements for being a Planeswalker.
But hey, I'm rambling at this point, and the set is your concept.
I would like to look at them, when the set is done.
Oh... but Don't forget Death Mountain as a Legendary Land, and the Fairy Fountains as non-basic land. :-)

@cartwheelnurd: Pokemon will DEFINITELY be in this sety. After all, I AM Umbro the Legendary Umbreon :P
@Rayenous: Link is probably one of the most favored characters in the Nintendo world, not to mention he is in different worlds ( Twilight Realm, Hyrule, Termina, etc ). I see no reason for him to be a Planeswalker. Mario is THE icon for Nintendo. Whenever you hear Nintendo first thing that pops in your head should be Mario. I also like the idea of Death Mountain as a Legendary Land. I do like your idea of making a legendary creature Link with artifact equipments, and may somehow try to have both in the set ( whether it be split the set up into sections to make it a block or something ). Finally, thanks for giving me some games to research :)
@zandl: Haha, nice little reference, but I have my own ideas for them :)
@ConBurnMadMan: True that about Link :)

If you're going to keep Link as a Planeswalker, (and I do understand wanting to make him one due to the multiple worlds and some Time-traveling, etc...), you may want to consider the artifact equipping suggestions for either Samus and/or Kirby. Both sought after and used items and equipment regularly... and to a lesser degree Simon Belmont, of Castlevania, who would have anti-vampire and ant-werewolf abilities.
Kirby's equipment abilities may be better suited as "If equipped creature is named Kirby, it also gains 'Sacrifice
This would play into the idea of Kirby swallowing items for special abilities. .... wasn't all that into Kirby though, so you'd have have to research the specific items... and the artifacts for him likely wouldn't be Legendary.
Just some ideas... used to play A LOT on Nintendo.

@Rayenous: I will do that for Samus then, cause I already made a Kirby card. I will be posting some cards on DA and can link the folder here on tappedout.
