Hi everyone, im new here and ofcourse new to the game.. now i've encountered a problem/question. didnt know where to put it in the forums.
now i am the attacker here, my power and defending is much stronger than his creature with flying. now is it true that flying creatures can't be blocked unless theres a creature with reach or flying?
also my opponent claims that because i cannot block his flying creature ( while i am attacking ) his creature will die but so does mine since i cannot block.
but the thing is my attack and defence is way higher than his.. so does my creature die just like that or not?
Thanks alot!!

Yes, flying can only be blocked by reach or cards that state that they can block flying. However flying cards can block nonflying.
"also my opponent claims that because i cannot block his flying creature ( while i am attacking ) his creature will die but so does mine since i cannot block."
Flying only affects what can be blocked. It doesn't affect the damage done. Treat it as you normally would once he declares his blockers.

basically my Battle Sliver with enhancement +3/+3 and another +2/+0 from another Battle Sliver totall of 9/6 attack, and he has Messenger Drake so he is blocking with his card so they will battle eachother if i am correct. now he claims that i with my 9/6 cannot block his attack during the battle and that i will die.
is this possible???

Nope, your creature would deal 9 to his 3 toughness, his will only deal 3 to your 6.

Rules questions should be asked in the Q & A.
Link cards with double brackets.
Battle Sliver
Messenger Drake
I don't understand what you're trying to get to.

First of all, if you're attacking with a non-flying creature, whether or not your opponent's creature has flying is irrelevant. If your creature's P/T is higher than your opponent's, your creature will live and his won't.
Second, if you're the attacking player, your creatures are not blocking and therefore his claim that you can't block his flying creature is incorrect. If he was the attacker, then his claim would be correct.

However, if he somehow gave deathtouch to his Messenger Drake they would both die.

I think you misunderstand a few basic things here.
You can only be an attacking player on your turn and a blocking player on your opponent's turn. At no time is any player both attacking and blocking.
If you attack with Battle Sliver , your opponent can opt to block with Messenger Drake . Flying creatures can block nonflying creatures. Also, your Battle Sliver will still deal damage to Messenger Drake , even though Messenger Drake has flying. Flying is irrelevant for everything outside of declaring blockers.
Now, if your opponent were to attack with Messenger Drake , you wouldn't be able to block it with Battle Sliver because Battle Sliver doesn't have flying.
Also, as others have said, rules questions should be asked in the Q&A.

If you control two Battle Sliver and one is getting an additional +3/+3 somehow, the total power/toughness it should have would be 10/6, not 9/6, because
[base power] + [unknown bonus] + [battle sliver bonus] + [battle sliver bonus] = [total]
3 + 3 + 2 + 2 = 10
Just wanted to mention that.

Your creature does not die if I understand what you are saying correctly, is this correct? (With random P/T) So you swing with your 4/5 ground creature and he blocks with a 2/2 flyer? If this is similar than only his creature dies not yours. Hope I helped!
