Sorry To Add My Voice To The Myriad Chorus Of People Who Bring This Card Up With Some Silly Ruling Problem, And The Answer Is Probably "Yes, Painter's Servant Can (As With Anything Else) Be Used That Way" Or "Read The Rulings On Gatherer" But Here Goes:What Happens If Painter's Servant/Grindstone Gets Used On A Deck Including Oh Say, Emrakul, The Aeons Torn? In Theory, It Would Stop The Game All Together, Wouldn't It? Every Time Emrakul/Kozilek Comes Up, The Library And G-Yard Become One, But The Colours Matched So You Still Have To Repeat The Grindstone Mill Effect, Presenting An Inescapable Ouroboros. Is This The Case? And If So... How Do You Resolve It? Apart From Giving Yourself Hexproof And Smugly Grinning And Your Opponent (Serves Them Right). Thanks In Advance For Any Feedback, Would Love To Know The Answer!

the grindstone's ability must completely resolve off the stack before any more spells/abilities on the stack can begin to resolve and after the shuffing ability resolves the grindstone will not trigger again because last time it checked (during its own resolution) there where no more cards in your opponents graveyard to mill.

sorry library instead of graveyard at the end of the last post but never be afraid to ask a question when I first saw the combo I thought the same thing and I still ask questions now and again. MTG is a very confusing game at times and I have even seen some of my friends that have been playing 5 times longer then me get confused on specific rulings.

Ahh, So Emrakul, the Aeons Torn just completely Negates The Whole card:Painter's Servant/Grindstone Combo. Logical! I Realised After Posting That It Probably Didn't Stop The Game, Or I Would've Heard More About It By Now. Thanks Very Much For The Speedy Response!

what happens is they would mill cards as soon as emrakul is revealed and milled the shuffle trigger would go on the stack then your opponent would resume to mill the rest of their deck and as soon as grindstone finishes resolving the trigger from emrakul resolves and they shuffle their graveyard and it becomes their library again.
