Innistrad Spoiler Thread

It doesn't appear that we have one of these yet, surprisingly. So far, this is what I've found:

MTG Salvation Innistrad Spoilers

Looks like the dual cycle will be functional reprints of the most recent core set duals...

mozerdozer says... #2

I'm glad that it's not the search lands cause I can't afford those at all. Meanwhile the possible tapped dual lands are only 5 instead of 15 dollars if they are the 2 or less other lands ones and then they're only like 1.50 - 3 for the unless you control either basic land.

Also, this set doesn't seem like a lot of the cards go really well with other sets, such as Grand Inquisitor, but the drafting for this will be beyond amazing.

We usually do not have spoilers until they are official spoilers. None of those are official spoilers yet. We like to stay on the happy side of WOTC

These ones are functional reprints of core duals, so they ETB tapped unless you control one of the appropriate basic lands (8x Drowned Catacomb , here I come).

@ squire1 : I was not aware. However, it appears that nearly all of the listed cards have photographs accompanying them which I can only assume have been sourced to WOTC. I believe at least some of them were in recent articles.

Mikaeus was in a recent article, but it was the From the vault:Legends version. Keep in mind that we have to enter the images for our database for deckbuilding and We need good quality images for hover over. Trust me we will have them up as soon as WOTC starts leaking them, which will be next week I assume.

I take it back. I totally missed those mechanics articles, that is why they are not up. I just saw them in another thread. I will get them up this week some time. The two-sided cards need some special treatment in the database though.

What?

August 28, 2011 10:09 a.m.

Epochalyptik says... #9

I'm not sure how you guys are gonna work them in. Is it possible to use mouseovers like the split cards, with each half showing the respective side, or is it not possible/plausible to get that to work.

The "what" comment was in response to LikeMike.

Wait they aren't reprints at all. The ones I've seen are enemy colors, not allied colors. I've seen a Haunted Forest which G/B.

i started playing MTG in late Eldrazi, and when i saw the Zendikar Fetch colors in comparison to Core dual lands, i decided to keep it simple and call them "Odd" and "Even" dual lands.

August 28, 2011 10:30 a.m.

Wow. I actually didn't catch that. So I guess they're mechanically the same, but shifted to be enemy duals. That's a nice change, actually, considering how many decks would work well with enemy duals.

@ LikeMike So I assume enemy colors are odd and allied colors are even?

nsecord says... #13

@LikeMike: why dont we just call them what they are? Enemy color dual lands

August 28, 2011 2:14 p.m.

squire1 says... #17

double sided

August 28, 2011 2:18 p.m.

SwiftDeath says... #18

also they can only be played in non-see through sleeves or you have to use the special checklist card. but Im highly looking forward to this set now. enemy dual lands, the transform thing, morbid looks good, and the returning mechanic flashback this is starting to look like a must have set.

August 28, 2011 8:58 p.m.

Bmxcaleb says... #21

The Source is the Checklist Card, so basically a Flip Planeswalker for the 5 ability one...

I read in forums about werewolfs whether or not they'd be good or not then the card moonmist got spoiled. Werewolf cards say "at the beginning of each upkeep, if 2 or more spells were cast transform NAME" and in that since moonmist wouldn't matter, but if 2 or more were cast do the spells still resolve and they transform any way or they could just play another moonmist so they'd transform I'm confused.

August 29, 2011 2:21 a.m.

The spells still resolve. Werewolves have a triggered transform ability that happens at each upkeep that states "If no player cast spells"/"If a player cast 2 or more spells" (depending on which way its transforming) "then transform CARDNAME". The spells are not countered, but are tallied to determine if the transformation happens or not.

August 29, 2011 2:50 a.m.

Deathsbaron says... #28

ok so say if i cast moonmist as 3rd spell they would still transform then right?

I'm getting a definite Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde feel from the civilized scholar/homicidal brute.

August 29, 2011 4:46 a.m.

Yes. A player cast 2 or more spells in a single turn.

August 29, 2011 7:13 a.m.

squire1 says... #31

OK the spoilers are starting to be added to Tappedout. We are still looking at how the two sided cards will be handled so they are not up yet.
