Leonin Arbiter Doubles?

So I just picked up a playset of Leonin Arbiter at $1.50 each and thought, "hey, this might be worth getting a few more of" so I don't have to pull them out of a deck every time I need them. Now I'm seeing them going for $3 minimum.
Any idea why the sudden bump? Did someone do something spectacular with them lately?

Aye he mainly sees play in hatebear list but keep in mind his ability. He can potentially stop all tutor effects

Pretty much every modern staple is on the rise with Modern PTQ around the corner. I didn't see anything specific from the GW Hatebear deck that normally runs it, but that deck is however seeing more play in general.
