fair price on a power 9

I've been drooling over an Unl. Ancestral Recall at a local shop for awhile, it's on consignment for $1,000 and is very lightly played/NM condition. Consignment is 25% so I'm not sure the seller would drop too much but its been sitting there for a long time so what's a fair offer considering the seller is taking a 25% hit?

Mid is around $1,200.00 on TCGPlayer. You may be able to talk them down to $900.00, but doubtful. Never hurts to ask, though.

I figure the only thing I have working in my favor is its been sitting for sale for a long while but maybe that's because he won't budge. If he goes to 9 I think I'm going to snatch it up.

$900 is a steal for the condition you've described.

I'd ask to take a photo. Condition matters with older cards, a lot actually. If you're able to examine the card, do so. If not, ask for detailed photos. Either way, I concur with Jake that $900 seems to be a great deal.

I remebered that my old store had an beta Time Walk for sale about $540 singed. The store owner hadn't changed the price in forever and when I decided to pick it up before summer someone had bought it the week before. So if you can buy the recall for 900 if the condition is good then do it before someone else does.

The card is in the store and I've handled it twice so I know it's in great shape. I have a hard time dropping a grand on one card, power or not, so I'm hoping he'll either drop 1-200 dollars or partial trade. I'll update if anything happens. Thanks guys.
