I recently pulled an Ajani, Mentor of Heroes, and I'm never going to use it. It's currently right around twenty bucks, should I get rid of it now or keep it for later?
Agreed, dump it now while it's high. It'll be $5 after rotation.

It's going to be something like 4 to 7 bucks after rotation. Depends on how much EDH players will use this in super friends. He's pretty bad outside of standard. Dump it like bad meal of Taco Bell.

I think you should get rid of it, but at the same time, there is no hurry. like Abenz said, you have 10 months.

While you do have 10 months until rotation, cards from Theros block and M15 have already peaked. For the most part they will only gradually decline from here, especially starting in spring and into summer. Look at something like Sphinx's Revelation. It was $25 last December, dropped to $12-15 over the summer, and is currently sitting around $7. Ajani can expect an even sharper decline, as he sees much less eternal play. If you want to maximize value, dump him ASAP.

The issue in waiting 10 months is that no one is going to want it in 8 months unless it appears in a breakout eternal deck (highly unlikely).

I wasn't saying hold it for 10 months till rotation gets here. Everyone was just referencing how it's price is going to drop at rotation. It gave the impression that rotation would be happening soon so I was just adding some clarity to the situation. Plus it's a card that sees play now, and could continue/increase to see play after Fate Reforged, Dragons of Tarkir, and M16 are released. Just because it's going to drop in 10 months doesn't mean you have to get rid of it as quickly as possible. If something comes up that you want then sure go ahead and use it for trade bait, but it's not like your gonna take a huge loss if your still holding that card next week.

It's not used in any eternal formats, so if you aren't going to use it, dump it. It won't survive rotation, that's for sure.
