I am thinking to get into modern format, I've some modern decks but I don't know if they are enough competitive and which is the best for this format (until now i've always played for fun with my friends). The decks are:
Illusionary Vial Modern Version: An aggro-bounce tribal deck
Knights Domination Modern Version: A control tribal deck with knights
Merfolk's vial, modern deck: A classic merfolk deck
Hydras & Friends, Counters Ramp: Monogreen counters aggro deck
Goblin Boom deck: i don't think this can be very competitive, but is another deck i have.
As you see i love tribal and mono decks :D Any suggestion is appreciated, thank you!
Between these decks, I have to agree Merfolk is both the most fun and competitive.

Merfolk is already a decently well positioned aggro deck. Your list is actually only like 2-5 cards off from the established "Fish" deck.

Merfolk is definately the best. the knights deck is good, but the merfolk deck will be much harder to beat

And if i put the 4 AEther Vial into the knights deck? could it be better than merfolks?

Probably not. Merfolk has the disruption alongside unblockable creatures to get damage through consistently, and has overall cheaper spells, while the knights are generally less powerful and a bit slower.

merfolk also has the advantage of always coming through. since they are all mostly 3> cmc, one land and an aether vial can win just as well as three land. knights, however, you lose the game if you get even two lands.Knights is also less competitive against higher-level decks, while merfolk can beat most of them.

Merfolk is fairly solid. Throw in some Mutavault s and you're in business.
