Hircine, God of the Blood Moon

  • "The chilled morning air drapes her breathe, as she ran tirelessly throughout the basked darkness of the full moon. It must have been hours, almost a full day, through the forest. Howls and snarls always but a few dozen feet behind, yet no eyes or claws or teeth ever appeared. At long last, though, the morning glow of the red light appeared to break the treeline. Or, so she thought. As the snow bathed in blood red light, and the moon drenched itself in viscera, and the stretch of fresh, warm death lingered, she only heard one, subtle, sound."

Idk about any of you, but this card and my story feels absolutely terrifying to me.

Shrine to Hircine

The goal of each Shrine is that, while good on their own, they will somehow become even better with their Daedric Prince. In this case, your 3/3 (potentially 4/4) Werewolf will fight each turn if you allow it, and for the turn be even more powerful than it already was, with hexproof.

Similarly, you could sacrifice your Werewolf tokens to the Shrine upon its own ETB trigger.

I plan on making all 17 Princes (Mythic) and all 17 Shrines (Rare).

Which means Spider Daedra can't be a Mythic anymore :(

The set, obviously, is going to focus heavily on 5 color Demons. Not unlike TFR and DTK did for Dragons.

I love the 4/7 stats. 7/7, 8/8, sure they're stronger, but I see something odd like 4/7 and I know it's going to be interesting :)

And I like the shrine/god combination from a flavour perspective. What do you think about the shrines having a way to tutor their respective gods? Something like "sacrifica a creature you control but down't own: search your library for..." That seems very Daedric to me. Anyway, just a thought!
