I got an idea, let's try to make broken cards that can be fun. I'll start!

I don't quite get what leaps out as ''fun'' about this. I mean sure, this is a Planeswalker that bears a striking resemblance to the Wallet-Sculptor but with 1 less ability and I'm sure that kind of power brings with it some form of fun for the controller of Labian but...yeah this just doesn't excite me in anyway.

It doesn't make it go "oooooh I wonder what I can do with this?", it's not particular unique so there isn't a lot of novelty...

Sorry dude, I don't see the fun. I do see the broken however.

It's an insanely good card advantage engine. you just keep +1ing it because the other two abilities suck and you just can't lose with that kind of card advantage

You really don't see how the other two abilities are good? You're really saying the 0 ability sucks? and the -6 ability sucks? You do realize that with the 0 ability, you control your opponents topdeck and the -6 you can effectively put them back 5 turns by giving them 5 lands once they are in top deck mode.....

It's not that the other two abilities are bad, it's just that they're irrelevant. In spamming the +1, you are gaining card advantage in quantity and quality, and making your engine harder to kill. Why would you do anything besides the +1?

@ThatBlueMage: Well, that -6 allows you to put 5 lands on top of their library and any 5 cards you want on top of yours. Not exactly an instant win, but it would be hard to come back from that.

Seems like a pretty fair card, in all honesty, though the starting loyalty could be lower (maybe 3?). The 0 needs to be worded either "an opponent" or "target opponent" because, well, people play multiplayer Magic, but it seems alright.

Well seeing as I failed at making a broken enough planeswalker, I have revamped my current one. Also I would like to see others' ideas for broken cards, not just a discussion on one card.

That card is literally "Use my first ability infinite times, use my ult, wait a turn, draw my library with a Laboratory Maniac in play, win". That's busted. The other guy's alright.

No cant it says "activate another ability".

Well, the Chain Veil uses the same wording, and it allows for the same ability to be used multiple times. So. Um. Figure that one out.

Also, are you saying that the card you are designing to be broken is, as written, more broken than you wanted?

Wait, no it doesn't. But, if you want it to work as intended, you'd need to word it the same as the Chain Veil, and then you could just use the same ability multiple times.

Target player puts the top eight cards of his library....into his library. Lol what?

GreenFreak says... #14

@Schuesseled Oh Well that is embarassing, that is supposed to say "into his or her graveyard." Thanks for pointing that out. Oh erabel people were complaining that only one ability was good and therefore would be the only one used, so I revamped the planeswalker to have all strategically amazing abilities.

Also I forgot to add to the emblem that you have no maximum hand size.

Well, there is fun broken. Then, there is Mind-Sculpting broken. The new card is the latter of those. I think the fun aspect is lost when your opponent watches you make your stuff untargetable turn after turn, followed by drawing two cards and winning rather easily. The emblem is nearly as ridiculous as Jace, the Mind Sculptor s, but I suppose casual players will see some fun in drawing millions of cards to win with Laboratory Maniac . I don't think the card incorporates both aspects enough, however.
