Champions of Kamigawa themed Commander Deck Help
Commander Deck Help forum

Hi,
I was traveling the world of Magic and came across the Champions of Kamigawa cards. I was interested in making a spirit, samurai, ninja, themed deck but don't know where to start. I have a strong love for every last one of those in general, especially in history and mythology of Japanese culture. Which is basically what the Champion's of Kamigawa is based off in terms of Feudal Japan.
So I was hoping if the community could help in some deck examples in this particular set up.
I'm looking for examples mostly for edh commander but I am also looking for regular 60 card highlander decks as well. I'll even take examples for other play areas like 40 card standard as well.
Thanks!
Hope you all can help!

UB Ninjas would be another sweet archetype for 60-card singleton, but Ninjas run pretty expensive, since the best Ninjas are EDH staples.

There is only one multicolored legendary from that block actually: Iname as One
That said, I'd actually pick a 3-5 colored commander for the colors, and if you pick a 5-colored commander, you can ask each game if you can play Genju of the Realm as your commander instead!

Not to mention Gahiji, Honored One seems quite Kamigawan.

One of my favorite generals from Kamigawa is Reki, History of Kamigawa, because it capitalizes on all the legends from that block. Bad news flavor-wise is that there aren't any multicolor legends from that block, so you're looking at a mono-colored deck. In other words, no RW samurai. My money is on Reki to provide a viable deck that you can easily theme towards Spirits or Monks or whatever. I have a deck like that on my page (I'd provide the link but I'm on mobile), which you can feel free to check out for ideas.
I love playing 60-card highlander, so I'm glad you also enjoy it. I'd recommend a Spirit tribal deck, potentially Bant or Jeskai, which gives you plenty of flavor and access to the Spirit cards of Innistrad, too. Then again, Mardu Samurai is a sweet aggro deck. I've got some not-quite-singleton shells of those in my "Casual Modern" deck folder, check them out if you want!
Sorry again I didn't provide more links, as I'm on mobile. Best of luck brewing!
