Working on Homebrew MTG Plane for DND

So here is the basic ideas for a homebrew setting for a MTG plane I am trying to get done by next Fall when me and some of my EDH crowd will be playing a DND campaign. I’d love any input and ideas anyone could pitch.

Nexus- A plane located in the center of the blind eternities. The local inhabitants are primarily humans although there are tribes known as the Sparkborn that supposedly came from the Maelstrom of Nexus an always ongoing storm that brings individuals and unknown entities to the plane.

The Sparkborn are people that have been pulled from other planes through the blind eternities whether by seemingly random chance, experimenting with interplanar technology, or a failed ignition of a planeswalker spark (something that I’m sort of workshopping an idea of). One thing that all of them have in common is that they have difficulties remembering anything from their home plane and look to have been scarred by what look like tendrils of pure mana leaving the dull glowing gashes across some areas of their bodies.

Pretty much have marks looking kinda like the Searing Blood art but with less gushing and can be in the separate colors of mana.

The Maelstrom of Nexus: An always occurring thunderstorm on the plane that would seem to randomly spit out strange creatures and other entities that have never been seen before, having a strange link to the blind eternities and stretching out leylines of mana that will overlap with other planes moving through the blind eternities, causing incomplete spark ignitions for specific individuals.

What is unknown is that the Malestrom is the world soul of the plane and it has intentionally been doing this to try and summon individuals to the plane of Nexus that may could aid in repairing its ruptured leylines.

Not sure how canonical or in-line with lore you want this to be, but if so you might need to rework your setup here. The Blind Eternities is no "place" and thus can't accomodate a plane. Not an expert on this either, but pretty sure only Eldrazi have a form of existence "there".

The rest sounds like the plot of "Star Trek: Generations" tbh

I agree with sergiodelrio’s point regarding the Blind Eternities. Instead, here’s a solution that keeps your basic idea, but makes everything a bit more in-line with Magic’s lore:

Dominaria was the Nexus of Planes - a place connected to several other worlds. Eventually, that became a problem - Dominaria started to fall apart due to the interplanar influences. The Mending was a massive endeavour to fix the plane, with repercussions spanning existence (including making all Planeswalkers weaker).

You could make your plane a new plane birthed during the Mending, spun off from Dominaria and still containing some of the chaos and interplanar connections which necessitated the Mending.

Otherwise, neat concept. Be sure to include some of Magic’s unique races as exiles trapped in your plane. Loxodon, Metathran, Vedalken, Leonin, etc.
