Been awhile since I saw a thread about music specifically. I always get some great input from the community. This time lets keep it simple. Post your favorite song and let us know what you like about it or why it sticks out to you.
One of my all time favorite pieces is Black Star, by Christopher O'Riley: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMqYyaWLf8s
The song is so emotional.. It's extraordinarily sorrowful. Just think of the feelings you had when you were at your saddest and tell me that song doesn't somewhat match how you felt.

Man it's so hard to pick a favorite song. At the moment the song I will play the most in the car is I Like it Heavy by Halestorm. It is just a fun Rock Anthem and Lzzy Hale has such a beautiful voice. (So I just listened to the youtube video because I was searching for a link and it includes the bonus track at the end that is also just absolutely great)

Turning Japanese by the Vapors.
First single I ever bought, back in 1980.
Still have it and a turntable to spin it on.

Hmmm... That's a tough one. If I had to say, I'd probably say it's Flight of the Bamboo Cutter ~ Lunatic Princess from the Touhou franchise by Zun. My favorite arrange of this song comes from abab. You can find the song here. I wasn't a huuuuuge fan of Imperishable Night as a game, but man did it have some great music. Lunatic Princess stands out to me as one of the best songs from the Touhou games and reflects Kaguya Houraisan well. Very touching piece best arranged with a piano.
My second favorite comes from Touhou as well. It's Last Remote. Personally, I like rock arranged of this song. Best arrange goes to Minami. Song can be found here.. I love the sheer energy of this piece.

Yea, picking an absolute favorite song is really difficult. There are so many older classic songs that should get the mention, but my devotion these days tends to go to Metal. I could probably narrow my favorite band down to Veil of Maya, but I can't think of a single favorite. I'll just list some of my favorites until I can single it out.
It's Not Safe to Swim Today - Veil of Maya
Felt Through a Phone Line - 36 Crazyfists
Sylvia's Mother - Dr. Hook
The Tide and its Takers - 36 Crazyfists
Eulogy - As Blood Runs Black
Rusted Over Wet Dreams - Emmure
A Solution - Born of Osiris
Clockwork - Chelsea Grin
The Balance Theory - Dead to Fall
Whiskey Lullaby
Little Lion Man - Mumford and Sons
