FNM —March 17, 2017

Played against some very high quality decks this past FNM. Didn't place that well overall, but also don't feel bad for the losses I had.

Match One: Against a buddy of mine who played G/B Delirium. He beat me 2-1 in the end. His first game was well executed with creature placement throughout and I just couldn't keep up with it. He finished me with Verdurous Gearhulk. Game two, I was able to really control the board with Push and Metallic Rebuke and it was Bastion Inventor which finished him off with that lovely hexproof. Game three I had three Planeswalkers in my opening hand, figured it was worth a try and he Transgress the Minded me three turns in a row ... it was pretty much solitaire for him after that.

Match Two: stupid cat combo. Same results as with every other time I play that deck: 2-1 loss with just not being able to keep up with that deck for three games.

Match Three: Played against a kid using Eldrazi and control. I expect his endgame was Torrential Gearhulk, but he was mana starved for both games and never saw it happen. Took him 2-0.

Match Four: Drew the bye ... so I left.

Still not bad, still needs more time to play and be a better player. Still convinced it's a fairly decent deck. Still have a ton of fun playing it.
