I found in my last game that I could cascade repeatedly for something less than 4, and I kept bringing up small Slivers that did not help my situation much. I passed by all the good cards I wanted.
Also, if I do happen to cascade into Bring to Light, I'll get nothing for it because I'm casting it for free, with no colors. So I'm looking into cheaper spells that will fuel things better.
