Putting back in the mirror, also, Teferi... —April 27, 2020

After more test playing, i made the realization the the replacement of Mirage mirror with Clever Impersonator was a mistake. As is obvious, the 3 drop slot of the deck is a bit filled up. However, usually on turn four we should have 3 lands and a Powerstone Shard on the battlefield. This is problematic with Clever impersonator, who requires a hefty 2 blue mana to cast, and is providing our strained mana-base with more problems. What we want to do on turn 4 is to make a copy of powerstone shard, tap both for 2, and cast either another or a creature to act as a blocker. I found that Clever impersonator does this job falteringly. Secondly, perhaps an even more important reason that I made this change is because of our diggers. the two diggers that I am talking about are Board the Weatherlight and glint-nest crane. Unfortunately, these only dig out artifacts (or historics, sure), and I would much rather get a mirage mirror than put a clever impersonator on the bottom of my deck. Speaking of historic spells, I have decided to put Teferi in the sideboard. There are two reasons why I took him out of the deck. first of all, He was not particularily useful with his +1. I know that barely anyone who plays this card actually makes full use of this ability, but I found that I needed the most value out of my cards that I could get, and Teferi was not supplying that. Second of all, Teferi is very hated, and the mood of the game gets instantly darker the turn that he is played. I will still bring teferi in against disruptive matches, but he will linger in the sideboard.

The more I look at Mirage Mirror the more I despise its replacement. Should I put it back in? Maybe its ability to dissuade attacks is better than Clever Impersonator
