The new meta actually favors this again. Just climbed back up to Diamond 1 with the deck. Beating everything from Mono Red to Ugin Ramp.

and now that there's no zombie horde in standard, and no Elk horde, I don't see any difficulties that this deck that can't be built to completely crush as needed!

Just so you know, Nightveil Specter is not a standard-legal card. Perhaps Thief of Sanity?

I'd suggest reworking the mana base. You need more black mana if you're going to try to run Ritual of Soot or Cry of the Carnarium. Mystic Sanctuary is super-clunky, and if you remove it you're not dependent on Islands anymore. I'd suggest:

-1 Mystic Sanctuary -2 Island +3 Swamp

I'm back YelmsLight. That is actually good advice. I had abandoned this deck for a while due to trouble with escape decks, but I've finally come together with a Yorion build that I'm happy with.
