I made my own Batman Legendary so I can build a black artifact deck with various toolbox cards (Utility Belt), humans that interact with artifacts (Various Sidekicks Batman has had through the years), black combat trick instants (Training from the League of Assassins), probably some bats (so our brave hero can learn to face his own fears, or whatever origin story you want to go with for "why bats?") and, perhaps most importantly, vehicles (Batmobiles, BatBoats, Batwings, etc). I tried to make the commander not broken to the best of my own ability with some goofiness since this won't be a serious deck anyway. I'll add a decklist in due time, I just wanted to show this card off, I sure had fun making it, that's for sure.
I Set forth a challenge to all crafty deckbuilders, the Real Batman Theme Challenge: How do I build/play a mono black that doesn't kill any creatures or players and can still win the day for Gotham? You know, because of Batman's ethics and all.
Feedback is accepted as long as you remember that this card is just for fun and should not be taken seriously, at all. All other cards included will be legal, printed by WotC, MtG cards. That's my first challenge, keeping things from getting too magical in a game called Magic the Gathering. The deck to follow will probably only be played after all the serious decks have been used and more than a few beers have been consumed. (Toshiro Umezawa would be a descent stand in otherwise.)
(I thought about having Bruce enter with two 2/2 colorless Human Parent Creature Tokens and having "When you control no Parent Tokens, transform this creature" but I couldn't think of a clever way to transform back. I figured with what I have now, it's like Brucy has to stay in combat and full Batgear, or go back to the mundane, non-martial art filled world. He has to run his business and chase models sometimes too guys.)
