can you exile Obzedat and bring him back, since he is your commander?

Osiris716 Yes you can. When you exile him you can choose exile or command zone. If you send him into exile his ability will return him next turn.

I looked it up and it said the ability never said return from exile just to the battlefield so it would either be permanently exiled or just put in the command zone.

@Osiris716:

You probably do not know how a commander works. You just start the game with it outside the game in a command zone. Once it leaves it, it behaves like any other creature just with the fact that if it would die or be exiled, you get the chance to return it to the command zone instead of letting it die or letting it to be exiled. Instead. If you choose not to use this possibility, it is again like any other creature. So when you trigger Obzedat's second ability, you probably do not want to return it to the command zone and you just let the ability work. In that case, it will return it to the battlefield at the beginning of your next upkeep.

Yeah I know that now, my friend was misinformed, therefore I was misinformed and I learned not to trust him when it comes to commander.

You should also think about Dark Impostor and (don't mean this in a mean way) But you really should think about raising your mana count 37-38 ideally.

I tried running Athreos. My creature base doesn't really make him much use though. Obzdat's life gain, blinking and stable beefy body tend to serve me better.
