I wouldn't change this deck too much, I think it's great as-is! Especially for it's purpose - keeping it budget and giving it to a new player.
Some cards that do pop in my walnut are possibly:Glarecaster, Zhalfirin Crusader, Ward of Piety, Kor Chant, Deftblade Elite
