Rules Q&A
Eleven, the Mage
Legendary Creature — Human Wizard
Your maximum hand size is eleven.
Whenever this attacks, you draw a card and you lose 1 life. Then if you have eleven or more cards in your hand, you may cast an instant or sorcery spell from your hand without paying its mana cost.
Friends forever (You can have two commanders if both have friends forever.)
Gidgetimer on Eleven, the mage timing restrictions?
Eleven, the Mage instructs you to cast the spell as part of the resolving ability, so timing restrictions are ignored since you can not normally cast any spell while another spell or ability is resolving.
Contrast this with Narset, Enlightened Master who allows you to cast non-creature spells from among the exiled cards "this turn".
Dracoson on Eleven, the mage timing restrictions?

No, if you cast a spell with Eleven, the Mage's ability, it happens as the ability resolves. If no duration is listed (such as the "Until end of turn" given with Narset, Enlightened Master it happens right then and normal timing restrictions aren't relevant.

Would Eleven, the Mage follow the same timing restrictions as Narset, Enlightened Master ? As in: I could only cast sorceries with flash, or am I allowed to cast sorceries at instant speed?
