Said on Yuriko Ninja EDH...

Assuming that you're playing on a budget, there are some tips that I think that will strengthen the deck.

  • Yuriko and other ninjas "draws" a lot of cards. Even with a high mana curve, I think that the deck can work well with less than 37 lands (maybe 34 or 35). I like to use different "fetches" in Yuriko decks (e.g. Evolving Wilds, Flood Plain).

  • I think that creatures like Errata, Solemn Simulacrum, Blood Operative are bad creatures. Instead of them, I'd use something like Changeling Outcast, Thalakos Seer or Spellstutter Sprite (if you use more small but evasive Faeries).

  • Cards with double-face or Aftermath are great in this deck. I personally like Discovery/Dispersal a lot, because it can arrange the top of your library and throw away unwanted cards in the graveyard. Far/Away isn't bad either: Far bounces back a creature (maybe Yuriko if you have an evasive creature in play but can't hit someone directly with her) and Away is great against voltron decks. Commit/Memory have a CMC of ten and Commit may have some utility. Consign/Oblivion work well in some situations too.

  • I think that more spells that can rearrange the top of your library also helps. Preordain, Serum Visions, Portent, etc are great spells in this kind of deck. You are rearranging the top of your library while fueling your graveyard for Delve spells in future turns.

  • Speaking of future turns, extra turns are great! Part the Waterveil, Time Warp or Walk the Aeons are great cards for this. Temporal Trespass is also awesome, it's not hard to cast it paying three blue mana.

  • I think that there are other better removals that you can use. I like Murderous Cut a lot. Eventually you will fill your graveyard with Evolving Wilds-like lands, cheap spells and creatures, so Cut will cost a few mana to cast, making it better than Grasp of Darkness (that have a strict mana cost).

  • Usually, at least based on my experience playing Yuriko, the Yuriko player is everyone's target. So it's important to have some mass removal options. I think that Crux of Fate, Life's Finale and Evacuation are good options for this function. Maybe you want to test something like Propaganda, but I don't know if it works well.
