Since you are not running that many creatures anyway I would highly suggest Bedlam.

Not burn per say but it will ding life totals damn quick.

DangoDaikazoku Thanks! That also reminds me, an easy cut I can see from the deck is Heat of Battle. Most of your creatures having flying makes it unlikely to trigger and even then the damage is rather minimal. If it is being effective it will be as people do their normal play and might paint a bit of a target on your back.

Mill is an interesting beast and to me it is a perfectly valid wait to go and a bit of a challenge. I have seen Phenax/Oona builds as well as draw crazy builds with Kami of the Crescent moon and the less fun Nekusar. It has enough counters, still allows play and requires people to think of ways out of the situation which I like.

the only time I groan is when people go for infinite mill, especially to combo out one person (like Hinder+Tunnel Vision for example). But I dislike most infinite combos so that is no surprise.

That is the ideal general to deal with those colors, good choice :D (I am very biased for Gruul mind you)

Are you running on a specific budget for this? If so my apologies if some of these suggestions are not accessible to you.

  • Choke: In the top 10 harsh things you can drop against blue decks this is definitely high up there. Stop it from being countered with something and you are golden. Won't make you friends but it will be effective.

  • Seedtime: Is a great surprise and can really punish counter heavy blue players.

  • City of Solitude / Dosan the Falling Leaf: Both give you some peace and quiet on your turn.

  • Tajuru Preserver: A great gem to help you deal with players running every Gravepact effect under the sun.

Ah Zirilan, my favorite EDH deck I had early on. Always happy to see more people play him.

Addition suggestion:

  • Reito Lantern: Since the graveyard is preferable to exile lots of your big dragons end up there through sac outlets. Get them to live again by putting them back in your deck! Soldevi Digger can work as well if you prefer.

To prevent tricksy eldrazis from ruining the mill I would consider running Stifle

It is flexible enough to do things when there are no eldrazis to bother you as well.

An alternative to this would be Leyline of the Void which can help against revival decks that would be all to happy to see their graveyard grow.

Fun times, to help put Tetzimoc in hand I would consider Erratic Portal as a way of not jump into graveyard first.
