Would Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind work with Illusionist's Bracers?

At the end of the description for Illusionist's Bracers it says "You may choose new targets for the copy" upon copying the equipped creature's activated ability, but would it work with Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind? It's an activated ability, but it doesn't target anything, it just makes you draw a card. The actual damage-dealing portion is a triggered ability.

Awesome, that's all I wanted to know. English isn't my primary language and I've been busted by tooltips I didn't understand before, so I wanted to make sure haha!

As it has no targets, you may not choose new targets. The Illusionist's Bracers will still copy the activated ability and you will still draw another card.
