What happens to the first ability of Teferi, Hero of Dominaria if he leaves the field before the next eend step?

Tonight a player killed Teferi, Hero of Dominaria before the end step.
He had used his first ability in the second main phase.
Does the player still get to untap two lands?

Yes. Teferi's first ability creates a delayed triggered ability that triggers at the beginning of the next end step. These kinds of abilities don't depend on their sources one they've been created; Teferi's DTA will trigger even if Teferi leaves the battlefield.
