what happens to Illusory gains when enchanted creature dies

Say my opponent attached Illusory Gains to my creature, then that creature dies. what happens to the enchantment? does it go the graveyard or stay on the battlefield and attach to the next creature that enters?

Whenever an Aura exists on the battlefield without being attached to anything, it is put into its owner's graveyard as a state-based action.

If the creature dies as a SBA, then SBAs will recheck and put the Aura into its owner's graveyard. If it dies as part of a payment or the resolution of a spell or ability, then the Aura will be put into its owner's graveyard after that process is complete.
