Treasure Cruise and Cranial Archive are last cards in deck

Asked by knoelg 9 years ago

i start my turn with two cards left in my deck, i draw a Treasure Cruise. I cast it to draw the last card which is a Cranial Archive. Can i play and sac it to shuffle my graveyard into my library or do i lose the game, because i can not draw three cards from my Treasure Cruise?

120.4. A player who attempts to draw a card from a library with no cards in it loses the game the next time a player would receive priority.

you would lose the game b4 u could play Cranial Archive since Treasure Cruise says draw 3 cards if u only have 1 left in your deck u would lose the game next time u get priority

hope this helps =)

To be a bit more general, you can't do anything in the middle of a spell or ability resolving (except activating mana abilities and such). If you've already started drawing cards off of Cruise, you can't stop in the middle and say "Hey, I'ma do this other thing!". You have to finish letting the spell resolve first.
