Timing question: Marchesa, the Black Rose and Mirror-Style Master

Asked by CamraMaan 10 months ago

When Mirror-Style Master attacks with Marchesa, the Black Rose and a handful of other creatures that previously did not have +1/+1 counters on them, and Marchesa puts +1/+1 counters on each creature that attacks, will the Mirror-Style Master see those creatures as modified in time to copy them? My assumption is that it will, but I just want to make sure that the timing of it all works right. Thanks in advance!

Yes that works, as long as you order the triggers such that the Dethrone granted by Marchesa resolves before Master's ability (when multiple triggered abilities controlled by the same player are trying to go onto the stack at the same time, they choose the order). With the way it's written, the information Master's ability needs about modified attacking creatures is gathered as the trigger resolves, not when it's first put onto the stack.
