Tenacious Pup and Hushbringer

I have Hushbringer in play. My opponent plays Tenacious Pup. I know the lifegain isn't triggered, but what about the rest? From the wording I can't tell if the entire thing is an ETB or only the lifegain part.

Ok thanks. I was thinking it would say "...you gain one life, then when..." if it were all the same ETB, but it makes sense that sharing a paragraph means the same thing. Never knew that. Thanks again.

It’s all one paragraph, so its all one ability that would normally activate on etb. So Hushbringer stops all of it.
