Ishai copies?

Asked by ImNora 1 year ago

So if I use Sakashima of a Thousand Faces to make a copy of Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker, since it says to put a +1/+1 counter on "Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker", does that mean each copy would give themselves and each other+1/+1 counters? Like, let's say I have two Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeakers and an opponent casts a spell. Do my Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeakers each get two counters instead of one?

Each Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker will get one counter. When an ability references the permanent it is on by name it means "the permanent that this ability is on". If an effect affects all permanents with a given name it will say "named" or "with the same name" like Cylian Sunsinger does.
