How does Blood Artist trigger during a board wipe?

Asked by Bokamoso 11 years ago

What would happen if an opponent casted a Supreme Verdict while I had three Blood Artist on the battlefield? For the purpose of the question lets assume the three Blood Artist are the only creatures on the field. How much life gain and life loss would take place?

Each Blood Artist will see each other die and trigger for each of them plus themselves.

Your opponent will lose 3 life for each Blood Artist. So they'll lose 9 life and you'll gain 9 life.

Blood artist triggers for each creature that dies, including itself. Making it a bad, and potentially game ending idea to use a board wipe.

The person Trying to wipe should ALWAYS deal with Blood Artist indvidually, not during a board wipe. Unless the deck gains a lot of life I suppose
