Hexproof limitations?

Asked by jesakh 8 years ago

My question is, if I were to play a card like Orbs of Warding that makes the player hexproof, would a card like Cancel affect a card that I was trying to play? At what point does hexproof's protection end? Thanks in advanced for any help!

Hexproof prevents you from being the target of spells or abilities which would target you. Cancel does not target you, so hexproof has nothing to do with it.

Effects which include the text "Target player" or "Target opponent" would not be able to target you. That's it.
