Gleancrawler's Ability

Gleancrawler 's ability makes it so at the beginning of your end step, rreturn to your hand all creature cards in your graveyard that were put there from the battlefield this turn.
If Gleancrawler is one of the creatures that died would his ability still go on the stack?

No. Gleancrawler must be on the battlefield at the beginning of the end step to trigger the ability. Unless otherwise stated on the card, abilities are only relevant when the card is on the battlefield (ex: Bridge from Below , Soul of Theros ).
