Does Hapatra trigger with Noxious Hatchling?

I know that Hapatra Vizier of Poisons' ability triggers when Noxious Hatchling attacks and deals damage to a creature, but I don't know for sure if she triggers when Noxious Hatchling first enters the battlefield with the four -1/-1 counters on it.

If Noxious Hatchling got countered while i was trying to cast it would it still trigger Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons?

No, because the effect that has you put counters on it happens as it resolves and enters the battlefield. If it's countered, it never gets to that point.

Yes to the original question, no to the follow up of it being countered. Also, it’s better to make a new question rather than resurrecting one from almost 3 years ago.

She does.
121.6. Some spells and abilities refer to counters being put on an object. This refers to putting counters on that object while its on the battlefield and also to an object thats given counters as it enters the battlefield.
